Resources

These are resources that have been helpful for me in my healing journey. I hope they can be helpful for you, too!

Healing From Abuse Playlist

These are songs I have continually found encouraging and grounding in my healing process.

My Therapist

Words cannot express how grateful I am for my therapist! Her office is a space there is no judgement and is a place I know I am seen and heard.

She offers EMDR therapy and it has helped me overcome the devastation of abuse and create the life I am meant to live. The abuse does not control my thinking paterns, my view of myself or life and it is largely due to the help I’ve received from Renee and EMDR therapy.

She is currently taking clients and does appointments via telehealth or in person.

Parenting Safe Children

Feather is a HUGE inspiration for me. She is a feirce advocate for keeping children safe from sexual assault and equips children, parents, and youth professionals to work together to keep children safe. She teaches that prevention starts in the home, with age appropriate conversations with children, with our friends and family, and how to navigate these conversations.

The phrase I remember most from her workshop is, “I am the boss of my own body.”
